*Brushed Wool:
A special brushing process roughens the fine fibers of the wool. This gives the sweater its particularly soft, fluffy surface and a pleasantly warm feel. Unfortunately, a certain amount of pilling or shedding cannot be completely avoided with a specially brushed quality. Due to the brushed surface, there are more loose or excess fibers on the surface of the garment, which may detach, especially at the beginning.
New clothing may therefore pill or shed more initially than a garment that has been worn and washed several times, as the excess fibers decrease over time.
A first gentle wash according to the care label can remove some of the excess fibers, so that the shedding generally subsides over time.
