Brushed Wool:
A special brushing process roughens the fine wool fibers. This gives the sweater its particularly soft, fluffy surface and a pleasant, warm feel. Unfortunately, with a specially roughened quality, a certain amount of pilling or shedding cannot be completely avoided. Due to the brushed surface, there are more loose or excess fibers on the surface of the garment, which can come off particularly at the beginning.
New clothing may therefore pill or shed more at first than a garment that has been worn and washed multiple times, as the excess fibers reduce over time.
A first gentle wash according to the care label can remove some of the excess fibers, so that shedding usually decreases over time.
