Brushed Wool:
A special brushing process raises the fine wool fibers, giving the pullover its exceptionally soft, fluffy surface and a pleasantly warm feel. Unfortunately, with a specially brushed quality, a certain amount of pilling or shedding cannot be entirely avoided. Due to the brushed surface, there are more loose or excess fibers on the surface of the garment, which can shed, especially at first.
New clothing may therefore initially pill or shed more than a garment that has already been worn and washed multiple times, as the excess fibers will reduce over time.
An initial gentle wash according to the care label can remove some of the excess fibers, so that shedding generally decreases over time.
